Minden Active Transportation Plan, Minden, Ontario

Consultant to Haliburton County.  Produced Active Transportation (AT) Plan for Town of Minden, Ontario. Outlined recommendations for retro-fitting existing infrastructure and for AT supportive planning, 2008.

Dundas St. East Bicycle Lane Project, Toronto, Ontario

For the South Riverdale Community Health Centre.  Initiated a clean-air visioning exercise for community with Metro Councillor.  Facilitated meetings, participatory research and bicycle lane design including traffic analysis and preliminary feasibility study. Constructed 2004.

 

Gardiner East Demolition and Lakeshore Blvd East Reconstruction, Toronto, Ontario

For City of Toronto Transportation.  Conducted consultations, produced designs for a new multi-use trail along Lakeshore Blvd. East. Constructed 2000.  While with duToit Allsopp Hillier.

Carlaw  / Dundas Neighbourhood Improvement Plan, Toronto, Ontario

Consultant to Toronto Urban Development Services and Community Advisory Committee, Outlined a strategic vision for the Dundas East and Carlaw neighbourhood.  Report and plans adopted by Council in 2000. 

 

Harbourfront Parks Public Consultation, Toronto, Ontario

Sub-consultant to duToit Allsopp Hillier and Toronto Urban Development Services - Parks Planning.  Developed public consultation process as part of a consultant team.  Facilitated stakeholder advisory sessions with Harbourfront neighbourhoods to identify priority public open space projects.

Fontbonne Place Public Square, Queen Broadview Village, Toronto

For The Sisters of St. Joseph and residents, facilitated group design process with residents and management to design a public square for a new women’s apartment building in Toronto.  Prepared concept and budget for funding proposal.  Constructed 2004.

 

John Chang Neighbourhood Park

For Toronto’s Urban Development Services (Parks) and community steering committee. Established and facilitated community working group in collaboration with Toronto Parks. Assisted with funding proposal. Developed concept drawings for park and public art.  Constructed 2004

 

South Riverdale Child Parent Drop In

Designed outdoor play area for children’s drop-in centre.  Constructed 2004.

Health promotion for South Riverdale Community Health Centre

Designing and implementing programs to engage the public on issues related to urban planning and environment.  Facilitating self-help / skills development for underhoused / homeless / low income.

The Built Environment and Health Workshops—Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition

Produced a workshop format and conducted strategic planning sessions for the OHCC a provincially funded coalition of groups interested in building communities for health. Link to OHCC

Carlaw  / Dundas Neighbourhood Improvement Plan

For City of Toronto Urban Development Services and Community Advisory Committee, Developed consultation strategy, outreach materials, surveys and participatory design workshops. Synthesized findings into guideline document for redevelopment of public realm in an existing industrial district.  Report and plans adopted by Council in 2000.

For Omers Realty (formely Hammerson Canada).  Participated in site planning, urban design and landscape design for commercial retail centre in Guelph. Constructed 1998. While with duToit Allsopp Hillier.

 

Square One Shopping Centre, Mississauga, Ontario

For Omers Realty (formerly HammersonCanada). Participated in elevated parking expansion study and design. Constructed 1997.  While with duToit Allsopp Hillier.

 

Duke of York and Rathburn Rd. Retail Commercial Development, Mississauga, Ontario

For Omers Realty (formely Hammerson Canada).  Participated in urban design and landscape design for 28 acre commercial retail centre in Guelph.  Includes movie theatre, restaurants and retail uses. Constructed 1997. While with duToit Allsopp Hillier .
